About Mark Gorman - Gorman & Gorman Home Loans

Mark Gorman is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gorman & Gorman Home Loans. As CEO, Mark runs the day-to-day operations of the company. His extensive experience in secondary marketing helps the firm provide an industry-leading selection of loan products.

In the 2007 St. Louis Business Journal Book of Lists, Gorman & Gorman Home Loans was acknowledged as the 12th Largest Mortgage Lender in the St. Louis area. Mark has built a stellar reputation in the mortgage industry for both himself and his company by holding the Mortgage Bankers Association of St. Louis “code of ethics” and premier customer service at the core of his business.

Mark’s previous work experience includes serving as a vice president of United Postal Savings Association and also as a vice president of Mercantile Mortgage.   He is a graduate of Indiana University School of Business and has been a licensed real estate broker in the state of Missouri since 1993. As the Broker/Owner of Essential Real Estate, Mark is a real estate investor which helps him keep a strong pulse on market trends affecting the industry.   He is also certified by the Missouri Real Estate Commission as a continuing education instructor.

Mark was elected to the Board of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers Association of St. Louis in 1997 and served as President in 2002.   He was elected to the Board of Governors of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Missouri in 2002 and was the 2007 President. Mark has also served as the President of the Entrepreneurs Organization of St. Louis and is the recipient of the organization’s 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Mark has been the recipient of the St. Louis Business Journal’s “Forty Under Forty” community leadership award as well being recognized with the “Corporate Achievers Leadership Award” given by the Multiple Sclerosis Society.   He instituted the Community Partnership program of Gorman & Gorman Home Loans which helps raise funds for community improvement entities.

Since Mark founded Gorman & Gorman Home Loans in 1994, the firm has grown to over 40 employees, including a team of 25 residential loan officers. Gorman & Gorman Home Loans can originate home loans in all 50 states and is a family-owned mortgage banker with offices in St. Louis and Springfield, Missouri .
